Copio alcune info sull'evento in questione:
SOLD OUT: EXPLORING WIKIDATA AND THE SEMANTIC WEB FOR LIBRARIES "This session will be divided into two components: a workshop on editing Wikidata, and a presentation about DBpedia as a major hub for Linked Data.
The workshop, led by Wikidata specialist Emw, will get librarians and archivists up and running with Wikidata through practical, hands-on examples. Discussion about ontology, the Wikidata community, opportunities for collaboration, and the Wikidata roadmap will also be included.
The presentation, led by Pratt MLIS Professor Cristina Patuelli, will introduce participants to DBpedia, the most popular and interconnected source of Linked Open Data. Participants will learn about the structure and knowledge organization of DBpedia, how it works, and how to leverage it most effectively. The exploration will be grounded in real-world use cases from the development of a Linked Open Data project in the area of the performing arts. "
